Please note that at the time of making your reservation, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions listed here for individual bookings (less than 10 rooms). No need for a conventional signature.

Our rates include:

  • Accommodation according to the type of room and plan selected.

  • Complimentary WiFi.

NOTE: Our rates do not include VAT on accommodation. This tax of 19% will be paid at the time of booking and must be assumed by Colombians or Foreigners residing in Colombia. For foreigners residing abroad, tax exemption applies in accordance with Decree 297 of February 23, 2012.
This tax will not be charged for bookings made from abroad, as long as our system detects that the IP is foreign (outside Colombia).
At the time of check-in, the Hotel will verify that the person who registers complies with the provisions of the law, in order to maintain the tax exemption. In case of not complying with the current regulations, the passenger must pay the corresponding taxes at the time of check-in.

The rates shown do not include Hotel Insurance, which is voluntary. This insurance has a value of $9,000 (COP) which is equivalent to 3 USD (approximately US dollars) and will be settled at the time of check-in.

Rates in foreign currency will be settled at the TRM in force on the day of purchase, in accordance with the provisions of the Bank of the Republic of Colombia. For more information, please visit: www.banrep.gov.co

On our website you can select more than 10 currency types to view the rates on the different room types. Please note that this is an automatic process and constitutes a referral fee for other currencies.

To make the deposit of your reservation you can use any of the main credit cards: VISA, AMEX, DINERS CLUB or MASTERCARD. The name of the cardholder that will be used as a means of payment must be the same as the one that takes the reservation and enjoys the services of the Hotel. Otherwise, we ask you to contact our Reservations Department in advance at (+57 605) 6517477 or 018000 9699669 in the city of Cartagena – Colombia, 24 hours a day.

Accommodation Allowed: The maximum accommodation allowed at the Hotel is 4 adults in family rooms. In other room types maximum: 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults.

Child Accommodation Policy

At the Hotel Almirante Cartagena, children under 12 years of age are considered children, who only have to pay the breakfast supplement, corresponding to $70,000 COP per night.

Adults over the age of 12 are considered adults.

Minors (Under 18 years of age) must enter the hotel, it is necessary to present the minor’s civil registry and identity card. If the child is not in the company of his or her parents, the person responsible for caring for the children must present a document authorizing the custody of the child, duly signed and authenticated by at least one of the parents. Act No. 1098 of 2006 on the Code of Childhood and Adolescence. Without this documentation, minors are not allowed to enter the hotel. This is in accordance with the provisions of Act No. 679 of 2001, the Statute for the Prevention of the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents, and its related regulations. The guest assumes the responsibility of supervising the minors who accompany them at all times during their stay at the hotel.

Child Accommodation Policy

Our rates are subject to availability by room type at the time of booking. Current promotions cannot be combined with other promotions.

All promotions are subject to limited seating.

Check-in, check-out policy

Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 p.m.

EARLY CHECK-IN Policy

The check-in time at the hotel is from 15:00hrs. If your arrival is before the established time, the delivery of the room is subject to the availability of the Hotel and could incur an additional cost. If you wish to ensure that the room is available upon arrival, we recommend that you reserve the room one night prior to your current arrival date.

LATE CHECK-OUT Policy

The check-out time is at 12:00m, if you wish to leave later than the established time, the late check-out is subject to the availability of the hotel and has an additional charge until 6pm of $150.000 COP VAT included.

EARLY DEPARTURE Policy

Early departures must be requested at least 24 hours prior to the new departure date. In case of not informing in a timely manner, the value of the unused night(s) of accommodation plus taxes will be charged, if applicable, in accordance with the initial reservation.

Anti-Smoking Policy

It is forbidden to smoke inside the rooms according to the provisions of Law 1335 of 2009. Failure to comply with this rule results in an additional daily deodorization charge.

Pet Policy

Pets are allowed and incur an additional charge.
The guest is solely responsible for the care and supervision of the pets that enter the Hotel facilities, and will assume in the terms of the law any damage that their pets cause. Under no circumstances will the authorization to enter pets exempt the guest from their obligations.

Payment of Value Added Tax

If the booking is made through an online travel agency, the Hotel will invoice VAT in the event that the agency has not previously done so, in accordance with the applicable tax regulations.

Withdrawal Policy

When you book our services via www.hotelalmirantecartagena.com or the reservation call center, you can exercise the right of withdrawal no later than five working days from the confirmation of purchase. The withdrawal will not apply to bookings whose entry date is before five days. To withdraw, please send an email to coordinador.reservas@hotelalmirante.co if you made your purchase through the website, or contact the reservation call center if you made your purchase through the website.

The refund of the money will be made without deductions of any kind, using the same form of payment that the deposit was made within thirty calendar days following the exercise of the withdrawal.

No Show Cancellation & Charge Policy

Please note that we have different types of rates and these in turn have different conditions and cancellation policies which you can choose according to your convenience.

Flexible Rate:

  • It allows cancellations of the reservation with refund.
  • Modifications are allowed, subject to availability and prior payment of the fare difference for the new dates, if applicable.
  • Cancellations or modifications must be requested 48hrs prior to the day prior to the arrival date.
  • It requires the payment or debit of an amount equivalent to the first night plus taxes as a deposit of the reservation.
  • In case of no-show to make use of the reservation and not having cancelled or modified it within the established time, a deduction from the deposit applies.

Non-Refundable Rate:

  • It does not allow cancellations of the reservation.
  • It does not allow modifications to the reservation.
  • This fee is non-refundable, except for legal reasons.
  • It requires payment or debit of an amount equivalent to the entire stay plus taxes as a deposit for the reservation.
  • In case of no-show to make use of the reservation, a deduction from the deposit applies.
Deposit Policy

At the time of booking you have two options to make the deposit.
You can make the deposit with a CREDIT CARD or DEBIT CARD through the PayU payment platform (which will debit you the total value of the stay) or choose the BANK DEPOSIT option, this gives you the option to make a partial deposit (minimum must be the value of one night) and must be made 48 hours before arrival in order to reconfirm your reservation, otherwise, it is automatically cancelled and subject to availability (this deposit must be sent via email or WhatsApp to the hotel in order to be applied to the reservation).

At the time of check-in, the physical card in your name or that of one of your companions must be presented, or any other valid means of payment to make the payment for the remaining nights of your stay.
