Cartagena Frito Festival

In order to continue promoting the economy and the integration of the Cartagena community, this year the IPCC joyfully invites all citizens and tourists to participate in the Frito Festival, a tradition that supports every year those people who dedicate themselves daily to making and selling traditional fried foods in our beautiful city of Cartagena de Indias.

• The 39th edition of the Cartagena fried food welcomes chefs and lovers of traditional food.

• This year’s agenda runs until February 5, 2023, in the Chambacú neighborhood. Hours will be from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 12:00 p.m. on weekends.

• Citizens and visitors will have the pleasure of enjoying the variety of traditional fried foods, among which are: egg arepas, egg empanadas, bean fritters, carimañolas, among others.

• Of course, at the Hotel Almirante Cartagena we also join this great celebration. From February 02 to 05 you can enjoy the crunchiest flavors of Cartagena in our outdoor Café Terrace overlooking the sea. Check out the menu here.
  

• In addition to tasting a wide variety of delicious and crispy fried foods, different musical and dance groups will be present during the night sessions starting at 7:30 p.m. Additionally, on February 2 and 3, practical workshops will be held for the preparation of fried foods. You’ll learn from the best!
